The first Music and Alzheimer's course, organized by Fundació ACE and the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), was held on Thursday July 14 at the premises of the ESMUC. Masters students participated in music therapy and other professionals interested in the question of music therapy with people suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
Course sessions were taught by Dr. Merce Boada, neurologist and medical director of the Foundation.; Dr. Agustín Ruiz, geneticist and Scientific Director of the Foundation; D. Antoni Gelonch, Director of Institutional Relations of the same entity; Ms. America Morera, Unit Coordinator Day Care ACE Foundation.; . Ms. Monica de Castro, music therapist specializing in dementias; Ms. Melissa Mercadal, Director of the Master of Music Therapy and Mr. Oriol Casals.; Apropa Cultura project coordinator with the Auditorium.
