Kern Pharma's "A hug for Alzheimer's" raises more than € 5,000 for research

The second edition of the solidarity campaign "A hug for Alzheimer's", promoted by Kern Pharma in collaboration with Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, has managed to surpass the amount collected in the last edition and raise € 5,538 that will be destined to Ace's research projects.

The campaign was carried out in September, coinciding with Alzheimer's month, with the aim of raising awareness of the emotional needs of patients and to sensitize society of the importance of early detection of dementia.

Mercè Boada, co-founder and medical director of Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, highlights "the great value of this initiative, which not only reconnects us with each other having a good time and filling social media with smiles and hugs, but it also mobilizes people for a good cause and shows us, once again, the enormous generosity of society with research”.

For each photograph uploaded to the website www.unabrazoporelalzheimer.com that represents a hug, or for each photograph of a hug shared on social media with the hashtag #unabrazoporelalzheimer, Kern Pharma has donated €2 to Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, which will be allocated to the different research projects being carried out by Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona.
