Dr. Boada, recognized with the Fenin Award for Healthcare Technological Innovation

Dr. Mercè Boada, neurologist, co-founder and medical director of Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, has been awarded the Fenin Award for Healthcare Technological Innovation, for her contribution as well as her scientific and social leadership in the field of Alzheimer's disease. The Health and Technology Foundation wanted to recognize her professional career of excellence, with more than 30 years of experience in the field of neurodegenerative diseases and dementia, and for her health and social work through Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona.

This Tuesday, November 22, the Health and Technology Foundation, with the collaboration of the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (Fenin), has delivered the 2022 Health and Technology Awards in Madrid, which celebrate their 14th anniversary.

Dr. Mercè Boada expressed her gratitude for this recognition of the research on dementia and Alzheimer's that she began years ago together with Mr. Lluís Tárraga. The doctor has emphasized the importance of research, innovation and talent and has highlighted that "the most brilliant moments in history are written in schools, universities, civil society and governments, always under the curious, daring and risky gaze of research”.

"Thanks to The Health and Technology Foundation for its continued work in disseminating knowledge and innovation in health technology, changing paradigms and implementing new processes for the benefit global health" concluded Dr. Boada.

The Health and Technology Awards recognize initiatives, projects, actions and trajectories of excellence of professionals, institutions, associations and entrepreneurs who stand out for their contribution to improving the quality of life and health of the population. These awards highlight the importance of research, innovation and technology in the healthcare sector and in the clinical practice.
