Ace participates in the annual meeting of the SEN 2023

Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona had a prominent presence at the LXXV annual meeting of the Spanish Society of Neurology, which was held between October 31 and November 4 in Valencia.

Dr. Mercè Boada, neurologist and medical director of Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona, participated in the Araclon Biotech seminar in which the latest advances in early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease were presented.

For his part, Dr. Mario Ricciardi, neurologist at the Diagnostic Unit, presented a poster on the benefits of transcranial magnetic stimulation, along with cognitive training through virtual reality. These two innovative techniques influence the improvement of cognitive performance and the symptoms associated with Alzheimer's disease or other neurodegenerative pathologies, such as Parkinson's.

Finally, Dr. Marta Marquié, neurologist and head of the Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Program applied to Clinical Neurology of the Research Unit, presented within the Neuroepidemiology and Neurogeriatrics study group the results of the FACEHBI cohort, an Ace program that studies subjective memory complaints as a risk factor in Alzheimer's disease.

Focusing on the early detection of Alzheimer's

In this new edition of the SEN annual meeting, the importance of a timely diagnosis has become evident with the aim of accessing more and better treatments that delay cognitive deterioration.

At Ace Alzheimer Center Barcelona we make available to all those people concerned about their memory, tools that allow them to know their cognitive performance, as well as an excellent diagnosis that allows them to access resources to improve their quality of life.
