The Alzheimer's Night is a charity initiative born in 2016, thanks to the collaboration with the Fundació Castell de Peralada, with the aim of becoming the annual meeting point between society and the scientific community.
The goal of this charity dinner, which this year reaches its fourth edition, is to give voice to the activities of prevention, treatment and research on Alzheimer's and raise awareness on the need to invest in research to advance in the fight against the disease.
The new edition of the Alzheimer's Night will take place on September 26th 2019 and, for the first time, it will be in Barcelona, at the Mimosa Garden of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. A unique environment that will create a magical night!
It will be an evening full of music and entertainment with musical performances, humour, raffles and the exclusive presentation of the 2019 World Alzheimer's Day video by Fundació ACE. A whole set of experiences that will make the Alzheimer’s Night a special and enriching experience in the middle of the urban oasis.
The FACEHBI project
The profits obtained from the sale of the tickets will go to the FACEHBI project (Fundació ACE Healthy Brain Initiative), a study that carries out a medical follow-up of clinically healthy people who perceive a memory loss.
The aim of this study, led by Fundació ACE, is to investigate and define the relationship between this cognitive loss and the likelihood of developing the disease.
The value of this study lies in the collaboration of 200 volunteers over 50 years old who, despite not suffering a diagnosed cognitive disease, undergo a series of medical tests every year (memory tests, blood tests, MRIs...) to make research advance.
